| CCS Medical has been a medicare participating provider for over 12 years.
Not all providers are “participating” providers. Why is this important? Participating Providers are health care providers who have entered into a contract with the Medicare Part B program. This means we have agreed to accept assignment for all items and services furnished to Medicare beneficiaries. Accepting assignment means accepting Medicare's approved amount as payment in full, except for any deductibles or copays that apply. Medicare Part B will usually pay 80% of the approved amount. The remaining 20%, called coinsurance, is your responsibility. Most Medicare supplement insurance plans will help pay the 20%.
You may have to pay more for your supplies if you use a supplier or pharmacy that is not enrolled as a participating provider with Medicare.
